Information we collect
We collect your name, email address, and password when you register. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google. We also store wishlist items, event details, friend connections, and gift pledge activity you create within the app.
How we use your information
Your information is used to operate the app — coordinating gifts, sending notifications, and managing your account. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Gift privacy
The no-surprise rule is enforced at the system level. Gift details are never exposed to recipients through notifications or any other channel until the moment of reveal. This is a technical guarantee, not a policy preference.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely in our database. Avatar images are stored in Azure Blob Storage. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Session tokens are stored in httpOnly cookies.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data. Gift history for recipients is preserved where you were the giver, as the recipient's history belongs to them.
Third parties
We use Google for optional sign-in and Azure for image storage. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
Your rights
You can update your profile, change your password, and delete your account at any time from within the app. To request a full data export contact us at privacy@eventszawadi.com.
